aXivite®
A patented, stabilized capsaicin analogue engineered for improved purity, bioavailability, and stability. Proprietary microencapsulation controls pungency and enables precise release — delivering the metabolic activity of capsaicin without the gastric burn formulators associate with native chili extracts.
A capsaicin analogue engineered to remove the burn
Native capsaicinoids are potent TRPV1 agonists, but formulators have long faced the same trade-off: metabolic and performance benefits come bundled with gastric irritation, unpredictable pungency, and poor tolerability at effective doses. This limits inclusion rates and finished-product acceptability.
aXivite® addresses this directly. Phenylcapsaicin is a stabilized, higher-purity capsaicin analogue, delivered through SEE Nutrition's proprietary microencapsulation system. The encapsulation matrix controls the rate and site of release, moderating perceived pungency while preserving receptor-level bioactivity — supporting high plasma uptake and enhanced solubility relative to standard capsaicinoid extracts.

TRPV1 activation, without the sensory penalty
Capsaicinoids act on the transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) channel, triggering thermogenic and metabolic signaling linked to increased fat oxidation and energy expenditure. Phenylcapsaicin retains this receptor activity while its microencapsulation delays release until past the point of maximal oral and gastric irritation — the mechanism formulators rely on for a capsaicinoid that performs metabolically without the burn.

Human clinical data across body composition, gut health & performance
An 8-week randomized, double-blind, parallel-group trial (n=39 completers) and a randomized, triple-blinded, placebo-controlled crossover trial in active males form the clinical basis for phenylcapsaicin's metabolic and performance activity.
Body Fat & Body Shape
8-week RCT: the low-dose group (0.56 mg/day) saw body fat reduction roughly double that of placebo, plus a statistically significant 2.1 cm decrease in hip circumference, without loss of lean mass.
Gut Barrier Health
The same 8-week trial recorded a statistically significant decrease in serum zonulin — a marker of intestinal tight-junction permeability — in the low-dose group, indicating improved gut barrier integrity.
Aerobic Capacity & Fat Oxidation
Randomized, triple-blinded crossover trial in 17 active males: both low (0.625 mg) and high (2.5 mg) doses significantly increased fat oxidation during exercise vs. placebo (p=0.002); the high dose also reduced maximum heart rate (p=0.03).
